Wedding Flights

Arriving at or departing from your wedding is something that should be done in style. Traditionally with church weddings this was done in a prestige car or carriage. With marriage licenses now available to hotels, stately homes and a myriad of other locations, arriving by helicopter has become a real possibility.

To put together the perfect package for your special day we initially need to know the date and the venue you would like to be taken to and / or collected from. Helifly needs to ensure that the take off and landing areas meet public transport requirements.

Please use the enquiry form below to let us know your plans giving us as much information as possible via the Wedding Details free text box. We will then contact the venue or use satellite and map data to verify the suitability for public transport operations before preparing a quotation.

NOTE: A venue may tell you they have had helicopters land in the past. This does not mean the site is suitable for public transport helicopter operations as the previous flights may have been private flights with different passenger safety criteria, or may have been in a twin engine helicopter. All flying must be completed within 15 minutes of local sunset.

NOTE: For the flight cost to be competitive your wedding really needs to be in Sussex. The helicopter positioning costs to other regions of the country make it far cheaper for you to contact a helicopter company based at a more local airfield.

  • We wanted to treat our 8-year-old to a helicopter trip and his feedback was that it was his best day ever! We initially had an issue as the police had closed the airspace due to the recent air crash tragedy but John was extremely flexible and advised that rather than waiting for the go ahead, we should go and spend the day in Brighton (we had originally planned to do this after our trip) and that he would call me once the airfield was open again and that we needn't rush back as he would wait and fit in around us.
The trip itself was great. John was very knowledgeable of the points of interest, pointing out the various landmarks (Arundel castle etc.) and gave our son the choice of a slow or sharp turn when we had to turn to make our return trip. A sharp turn was chosen and as soon as John carried out the turn, our son immediately asked that he do another "epic turn" :)
I would highly recommend that if you haven't been in a helicopter that you visit Helifly and go and explore the south of England coastline from 1200ft :)
