The lucky recipient will experience the thrill of lifting from the helipad and hovertaxy to the runway before departing along the coast for their flight. Depending on the voucher bought the pilot will fly around 3, 6 or 9 miles along the coast before turning back to the airfield for the thrill of the landing.
Shoreham Airfield is arguably the best airfield in the UK to start a helicopter flight experience. The stunning views of the coastline, the piers on the Brighton seafront, the white cliffs, the rolling Sussex Downs - all make Shoreham Airport head and shoulders above many other windswept airfields often located in the middle of featureless farmland at the back end of nowhere!
Helifly are the only company offering 5, 10 & 15 minute experience flights from Shoreham Airport in 2010. If you purchase a helicopter experience voucher through other experience companies such as Red Letter Days or Adventure001, these will not be flown from Shoreham Airport and you or the recipient will miss the stunning views of Brighton seafront and the Sussex Downs.
Experience flights are conducted in a Robinson R44 helicopter ensuring every passenger has a window seat.
These experience flights are flown with other members of the public who have also purchased vouchers and are scheduled on set dates (usually weekends). Helifly will endeavor to meet your individual needs, however, there is no guarantee as to which seat you will occupy, or whether your party (should you have bought more than one
